Received e-mail from Mark Magowan, regarding silver trim that was added to Philadelphia Eagles uniform number.

I enjoy your site greatly but I must inform you that there is a small error regarding the Eagles jerseys from [2003-present]. After moving to the Linc, the team added the silver trim between the solid color of the number and the outline. Prior to that ('96-'02) it was either a solid white number with black outline, or green number with black outline. No silver trim on either.
I know it's not clear to see, but the numbers are the same from now back to 1996, when there should be a change in [2003].

After discussion, it was determined that at the scale of the 400 x 500 images, which was the size of the images used through through the 2011 season, the trim is simply too small to be seen. However the trim was added to the 2012 HD images, which at a 1280 x 1600 resolution, is large enough for the trim to be seen.
